Our story
The company Ramells de Maig was born from passion and commitment to the land, with the aim of recovering and promoting the gastronomic and cultural roots of the Balearic Islands. From the start, the project has been based on a clear philosophy: making local, sustainable products that respect the environment, always giving priority to local and seasonal ingredients.
One of Es Molinot’s main goals is to encourage responsible consumption and raise awareness of the importance of local production. For this reason, most of the ingredients we use come directly from farmers and producers in the Balearic Islands. Where a 100% Balearic origin cannot be guaranteed, we make sure that at least most of the product is of local origin and responsibly grown.
In addition, our products are made following the methods of our grandparents, as was traditionally done, without artificial preservatives or colourings, respecting the original flavour, texture and quality. Committing to naturalness and purity lets us offer healthy, honest food made with care, just as it was made in the past.
In this context, after a long time looking for a way to convey who we are and where we come from, Es Molinot was born: a line of prepared products that draws directly on our family history.
Es Molino de es Mestre Jaume, known in our family as Es Molinot, is the name of the first farm our family acquired, a place where our grandparents and parents began their lives as farmers, with effort, affection and respect for the land. It is where they sowed not only the first crops, but also the values we keep alive today: honesty, work done with hands and heart, and commitment to what the land gives us.
With a clear commitment to sustainability, Es Molinot is also working towards a zero-waste production model, promoting the reduction of food waste and the responsible use of resources.
Today we still walk this same land, continuing this family legacy and trying to grow a project that goes beyond farming. We grow, love and transform the land so that everything it produces can reach people in a natural and authentic way. That is why we make products such as ice creams, sauces, preserves and, in time, everything new that the land and our creativity allow us to offer.
At Es Molinot we grow not only food, but also values. This name symbolises the memory and evolution of a project that wants everything the land produces to reach people in a transformed form, yet true to its essence. This is where our ice creams, sauces, preserves and many other products come from, and more will follow, always guided by the same passion and philosophy.
